Kazeem Aderonmu, better known by his stage name ‘Kayzee,’ is a multifaceted talent hailing from Luton, UK. A record producer, songwriter, DJ, engineer, and music educationist, Kayzee's journey through music is as diverse as it is inspiring. Born in Nigeria, he spent his early years surrounded by the rich musical landscape of highlife, Fuji, soul, American R&B, and hip hop. Growing up near a bustling record store, Kayzee was constantly immersed in the sounds that would shape his future career.

His passion for music was ignited at a young age when he was gifted a keyboard. He quickly learned to play by ear, mimicking the demos and playing along to the songs he heard on the radio and TV. This early fascination with music only deepened during his time at a military boarding school, where he naturally gravitated towards the marching band, further solidifying his inescapable bond with music.

In his late teens, Kayzee relocated to the UK, where his love for music flourished. Music became his favourite subject, and he spent countless hours in the music rooms of his school. It was during this time that he was introduced to his first digital audio workstation (DAW), ‘Reason,’ by a supportive teacher who also installed it on his laptop. This new tool unlocked a world of possibilities for Kayzee, who quickly became a prominent figure in his local music scene, collaborating with like-minded artists. His production style naturally gravitated towards the leading UK genres of the time—grime and garage.

Kayzee's musical journey was further enriched by his involvement in his school choir as an instrumentalist. Surrounded by talented musicians and vocalists, he honed his craft and developed a unique playing style influenced by gospel, soul, and the gritty sounds of contemporary culture.

His hard work and dedication began to pay off when he won a remix competition for Rudimental's single ‘Baby’ while still in college. This achievement solidified his path and garnered attention on platforms like SoundCloud and Instagram, where his remixes started to gain momentum. DJing also became a significant part of his career, initially sparked by his extensive record collection and a chance opportunity to play at a local function during his college days. This led to multiple DJ residencies across Suffolk, Essex, and London, eventually signing with a DJ agency that opened the door to international opportunities.

In 2022, Kayzee's career reached new heights when he was introduced to Stefflon Don by his manager. The two quickly developed a strong working relationship, producing a string of records, including the infamous diss tracks ‘Dead Gyal Walking’ and ‘Dead Gyal Talking.’ Kayzee also co-produced the singles ‘Deadly’ featuring Victony and ‘Big Fat Machine’ featuring Fivio Foreign and Major League DJs. His contributions to Stefflon Don's album ‘Island 54,’ where he landed eight placements on the 20-track project, further established his reputation as a top-tier producer.

Simultaneously, Kayzee expanded his role by joining Stefflon Don's tour as a DJ and band member, performing on stages around the world. Today, he continues to push the boundaries of his craft, blending his deep-rooted influences with the evolving sounds of contemporary music, leaving an indelible mark on the global music scene.
